This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My TK students live in the low-income, mid-city district of Los Angeles. My students come to school every day and we have the highest attendance for a Title I/low-income school with a population of about 700 plus students. My Transitional Kindergarteners are a rambunctious, beautiful bunch of kids with so much life, love and learning to be had. They deserve everything the world has to offer and more! I am so proud of them, every step of the way! They are happy learners with smiles and excitement all day!

My Project

These primary journals will help my students soar to greater heights in their writing. These creative story tablets will help them create writing and drawing pieces through their own lens.

All of the students in my grade level will be able to write and then make their writings come to life by drawing a picture as well.

This will allow all of the students to create no matter what. It might be a drawing and then writing later or vice versa.

These materials will help them be able to freely write and create their own stories and maybe one day make them great authors and illustrators!
