My students need noise cancelling headphones, fidgets, fine motor support tools and other sensory relief items to help them be in the right space to concentrate on academics so they can show what they really know.
Our students are eager to learn and love our close-knit community. Each kiddo is unique in their learning style, academic strengths and, of course, personality. They enjoy being creative and learning in new and unexpected ways. We love to be moving around and collaborating with one another whenever we can.
We're a big, wonderful, goofy family in our school and luckily we are surrounded by an equally wonderful community.
We have a diverse population of teachers and students that bring a wealth of experiences, knowledge and perspective to the classroom. The possibilities these students possess is inspiring.
My Project
Every student is unique. They have unique personalities, learning styles, preferences and obstacles that they face. In order to reach our students and truly expose them to curriculum we have to take into account each students uniqueness.
By providing students with sensory supports such as noise cancelling headphones, fidgets, fine motor supports and self monitoring tools we are not only helping them to be present in our classrooms, but we are giving them opportunity to fully take in our lessons and interactions with peers.
We are only then allowing students to truly access all that school has to offer.
These resources will add to our existing Sensory Space further helping teachers to reach every single student.
