Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At Mentone Elementary student’s are smart, wonderful, generous, polite, kind. Here at Mentone we are called the colts our color is blue. Mentone Elementary is a safe place to be at.
We strive everyday to be the best at who we are and we learn new things everyday.
We follow the ABC’s the ABC’s is Accept Responsibility, Be Kind, Choose Kindness. We really try our best at the ABC’s that’s why Mentone is such a positive school. My teacher’s name is Mrs. Pirritano she is such a wonderful teacher we learn so much from her. Our class is such a fast learning hard workers.
When our teacher tells us to listen that means we listen. When we have to do the ABC’s we do it. She really helped us improve to move on to 6th grade and if we were struggling at something then she would come right away to help us any way she could.

My Project
At the Mentone Elementary library, we have old books that are destroyed. The books are ripped and taped back together and most of the words are faded so we can’t even read them. People don’t even take care of the books. These new books will benefit us by replacing the old books that are destroyed. They might even give younger students more of an interest in comprehension. Some kids get books and don’t read them so they put them in there desk. If we get new books we think they will be more interest. The kids that get books sometimes if they have a dog it will get ripped up or wet. With these new books, we will enjoy them. That is how these new books will benefit us.
