Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderful group of energetic students who are full of life. Every day, they work very hard to reach their goals.
My students come from different backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.
More than half of my students are from low-income households. My students are eager to learn and be creative every day. They are sweet, respectful, responsible, kind, happy, and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom. They are amazing kids who deserve the best education. I feel blessed to teach such an amazing group of students.
My Project
My students are in need of basic school supplies and snacks to put into an emergency kit to get them through the school day. I am requesting La Vie feminine products to put into our nurse's office.
I would like to create an area in my classroom that has basic supplies and snacks for most in-class emergencies.
When our students know they don’t need to worry about basic supplies and have easy access to them, they are less stressed and can focus on the task at hand!
My students need healthy snacks to keep them strong and healthy throughout the day and school supplies to continue their learning.
