Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When you step foot into our classroom, the diversity of the community is reflected in the make-up of our students. Our school is truly a melting pot that provides a safe space for children of all cultures to come together and learn. Our programs aim at providing services for all students and provide the proper scaffolds that will help each individual student reach his potential.
Our dual language classroom adds an extra challenge for our kids: learning a second language.
Through an enriching Spanish program that weaves throughout Kindergarten to 5th grade, we seek to prepare our Bilingual students to tackle the ever-changing world that demands a multitude of languages.
My Project
Unfortunately, Class 204's previous BROTHER printer didn't make it through the summer. As I was setting up my classroom, I noticed that the printer was broken beyond repair and the thought of starting the school year with such an operational catastrophe is not where I want to be right now.
The classroom printer is the silent hero that doesn't get the credit it deserves.
It is there for you when you need to modify a lesson and need last-minute worksheets (and to print the newly modified lesson!). It is there for you when your writing station magically runs out of writing booklets. It is there for you when your student finds that one image of a mini schnauzer they'd like to use in their non-fiction book -- so of course, you have to print it for them. Help us rebuild our classroom operations and help us make sure that our students always have that worksheet or image that they need for their learning throughout the year.
