My Students

My classroom has just been created as one of the first public Pre-K rooms at our school. I would love for my students to be eager to start kindergarten because we made their first school experience in Pre-K such a positive one! Our students come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Early childhood is so important because we teach students social skills that so many are lacking today. We get our students ready for kindergarten where they are expected to learn more now than ever before.

My Project

Our PreK Classroom loves STEAM activities! We need a storage cabinet for our STEAM activities. We enjoy building houses just so we can test them to see if they are strong enough to survive the big bad wolf. We test objects to find out what is magnetic and what is not. We love to inspect the inside of acorns and find out why pine cones open and close. During our ball study, we test balls to see why some bounce and some don’t. We like to study bugs. We like to conduct science experiments such as sink/float, mixing colors, solid/liquid/gas, and absorb/repel. Give us a place where we can test our predictions and make new discoveries!
