Help me give my students paints in a variety of colors, along with new paintbrushes they will need to apply the paint to all types of canvas, cardboard, paper and multimedia surfaces!
Our Title I school may be home to low-income students, but we are rich in character and perseverance! Our students are hard workers, kind-hearted and strive to always be a better version of themselves than they were the day before! They come to class eager to learn and excited to try something new each day! I love how they take pride in their work and how they build each other up when one of them isn’t feeling particularly stellar at that moment...they are all winners!
My Project
WOW! We had an amazing year last year and boy did we use up a ton of supplies! Our used donated brushes are old and our paint needs replenished. Will you help restock supplies so we can continue to explore our world through the arts? Our fabulous art teacher incorporates Math, Science, Engineering, Reading, Writing, History and studying of other cultures within our art lessons! We want to be able to continue learning about self expression, composition, spatial relations, movement, color theory, along with all of the Florida State Standards. Please help her give us the well-rounded education we deserve! Students will learn how to use paint in a variety of ways including mixing to create secondary and tertiary colors palettes. We will also create textured paper in multiple layers, cut them out and glue pieces together to create compositions.
