My students need electric pencil sharpeners and dry erase adhesive.
This project expired on December 26, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I would like my students to be able to sharpen their pencils without the pencil sharpener chewing up the pencil or taking 10 minutes to get a good point. My students waste many minutes at the sharpener or I have to leave instruction to go over and assist. Help!
My students have various behavioral and/or emotional issues.
They are in a self-contained classroom most of the school day where I teach all subjects, along with social skills training. I currently have 8 students with the potential of having a maximum of 12.
Simple things can irritate and/or frustrate the students in my classroom. To have a manual pencil sharpener that does not work or takes too long to get a point, really creates a stir. Often times, I have to leave my instructing and spend time at the sharpener helping. I feel by having a couple of working electric pencil sharpeners, it will allow the students to sharpen quickly and without frustration. It will also help me in a huge way!
I am also requesting white board adhesive because we do not have white boards in my classroom. The chalk dust irritates some of the kids and is messy. The chalk board adhesive will go on over my chalkboard and enhance my instruction.
Donations to fund this project will provide the resources that students need to help maintain control and their frustration level.
Since this is an emotional support classroom, simple things as this really help.
