I have been a teacher at my school for the past 9 years. I am teaching first grade for the second time this year and have learned a lot! I now realize how important it is for each child to have a space to keep their things to prevent them from breaking or getting lost. So many tears were shed over a lost or broken crayon. I am asking for a pencil case for each student and a few things, such as scissors, glue sticks, crayons and a sharpener to fill each bag. Providing my students with these basic supplies, in a safe carrying case, will really allow our day to flow smoothly and will save many tears from flowing. These basic starter supplies will also make my little students very happy. They value the smallest gift, and your help to make this happen will be greatly appreciated.
