Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Over the past four years I have had many students in my classroom with different disabilities. Some students have a learning disability in one or all subject areas. While others have other disabilities from autism, ADHD, language processing disorders, emotional disability, vision and hearing impairments, and spina bifida. And while they are twice as challenged, they are required to learn the general education curriculum.

My students believe in themselves and become understanding of each other.

As hardworking as they are they deserve a comfortable learning space. One that feels welcoming. With this, they will always give their personal best.

My Project

Each one of my students learn differently and each one of them is unique in one way or another and flexible seating will but the increase the interactions with each other. This will allow for some students to be role models for social, academic and behavior skills.

Flexible seating will allow students in my class to be as productive as possible.

Giving my students options of where to sit or perform a task is essential, it will make my students feel supported and understood. And that is a huge motivator for learning. It will allow them to truly focus on content.
