Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are unique because of the diversity found within our classroom. Currently, I teach inclusion/ELL and on level English 9th and 10th. Serving approximately 150 students, inclusion education is the integration of special needs students with the general population.
My classroom is a place for diverse students to learn and grow into young adults with the skills to thrive in our ever-developing world.
These students come from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is almost all low income with students from all around the world. Our goal is to provide every possible advantage for our students to develop the skills necessary to become successful.
My Project
My high school students came up with the idea of starting a school podcast, but we are currently lacking the necessary equipment. The goal of the podcast is to discuss both things that are happening at school; such as, sporting events, band competitions, school subject topics of interest, as well as, personal interests like Gaming whether is a video or card games, mythology, anything they are interested in outside of school. The podcast will be both informative and entertaining.
Our podcast will be made available to the public so sound quality is very important.
Having these quality microphones will ensure that our podcast hosts and potential guests will be heard clearly when the podcast goes live. This will provide a better listening experience for our audience. My students and I truly appreciate your support and over the moon excited to start this new venture at our school.
