My students are energetic. They love life and love learning about anything and everything they can get their hands on. We are a K-5 school on the outskirts of a town of about 60,000 people. Many of my students live in the neighborhood, but some live further away and are bussed to our school.
Third graders are passionate about learning at our school.
They thrive on hands-on learning, outdoors learning, talking with their friends about their learning, reading, math, science, and social studies, and supporting their kindergarten buddies.
I feel passionate about teaching my students each and every day. Our school is one of the top performing schools in our school district. This is because we have amazing students, parents, teachers, and support staff.
My Project
Our students have done an AMAZING job wearing their masks since we started teaching face to face in September. They don't complain and follow the safety guidelines perfectly. We would like to provide them with an opportunity to go mask free for a period of time during the day. Providing them with the table dividers and individual dividers will allow them some mask-free time as they learn during the day.
Our students are so excited to be back in school, and we want to reward them.
With these dividers, I believe our students will be able to focus on their work better while still following the safety guidelines. We have noticed an amazing difference in our students' motivation and learning when they are given a safe, mask-free zone during their school day. Making sure our students are comfortable and safe is our number one priority. This project will ensure both of these.
