I teach a class full of vibrant 1st graders who are eager to learn.
In our classroom we are kind, we are honest, we give compliments, we laugh a lot, we make mistakes, we have big dreams, we are peaceful, we work hard, and we are family. At our school, the teachers and staff are dedicated in building strong children, students of character, inspired, life-long learners, and well-rounded, adaptable citizens.
My Project
My students need a cozy little nook, a welcoming space where they can read quietly through a variety of genre text. In this nook I would like to provide flexible seating, a comfy rug, and a variety of books along with storage containers for the books.
With the flexible seating including wobble chairs and bean bag chairs, my students can sit back and relax while reading a good book.
With these materials, the library will provide a warm and cozy environment, that is organized so the kids can find the genre they want to read quietly and quickly.
This is where it starts! With this classroom library, my students will be able to gain a love for reading.
