I teach a special day class at Baldwin Elementary in San Jose for 3-5 year old children with various disabilities ranging from Downs Syndrome to speech and language delays to autism. Since elementary schools were designed for older children, the furniture in our classroom is too big for my youngsters. We are able to lower the tables in our classroom, but we do not have enough small chairs to fit under them. It has been demonstrated that students will learn better if they are able to sit up straight with both feet on the floor and with the table at the appropriate height. I am therefore requesting 6 "Tuff Stuff" chairs for our classroom. The chairs are ergonomically contoured with seats 11.5 inches off the ground -- perfect for my students. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
