I am a fourth grade teacher at an urban public elementary school in New York. All of our students receive free lunch. Many of our students are children with special needs that include fine motor and visual needs. Our Integrated Co-Teaching class (ICT) also has English as Second Language learners, and general education students. All of my diverse students are fun loving, wonderful children that are eager to learn. Our students are currently learning about nonfiction text features and research strategies.
There are so many great learning apps and websites my students are unable to access. They will use the Kindle Fire to access Learning Ally. Learning Ally is an important app that engages students by reading books aloud. In addition, our math program has an awesome website that works best on a tablet allowing the students to write their answers directly on the screen.
Help us turn up the heat in our learning!
Children learn best when they are engaged and challenged. With this technology you are enabling my students to unlock their learning potential and increase their reading and math skills.
