Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager four-year-olds, who are so anxious to get their hands into learning! These students are experiencing the first year of their educational career. They come in very shy, not knowing what to expect and observing their surroundings. This quickly fades as they make friends and notice all the wonderful manipulatives that await them.
The students come from high need families, but with high expectations.
Our school is considered a high-risk school due to the economic situation in which students live.
My Project
Presently my students are doing remote learning and they seem so very eager to learn. If feel that if they are provided with fun, colorful, and exciting projects, they will get hooked on the love of learning. This I believe will eventually be transferred to learning in the classroom after the health crisis.
"There is nothing better for building confidence than learning you can do something that you thought you couldn't," -Amy Chua.
This quote is what I feel my students will experience as they utilize the arts and crafts material selected for them.
I thank each and every one of you in advance for assisting me in providing the best possible experiences for my students. I know that what they learn will make a huge impact on their lives for years to come!
