Our iPad Needs Protection!
My students need an iPad case to protect our iPad and headphones so we can make better use of our iPad in the classroom.
Speech-language therapy happens all over our school building!
My students are hard-working students who come from low, socio-economic homes.
Many don't have the opportunity to use technology at home, and try to take advantage of every opportunity at school to use a tablet or laptop computer. They each have such big hopes and dreams they are pursuing!
Speech and language therapy happens in all parts of our school building - many times in the hallway or in the back of different classrooms. We would love to have an iPad case and headphones to use with our iPad to help protect it, and be able to use it without bothering other classes and students. Many of my students have difficulty reading and need the applications to read text to them so they are the most successful. That is difficult when we're in the hallway or working in classrooms because we interrupt others around us. They'll be able to use the iPad to maximally benefit their own learning.
This project will allow all my students to use the iPad.
I don't want to keep it from some students just because I'm fearful of it being broken when they touch (drop) it due to their own physical difficulties, but that is happening right now. These are students who would would benefit so much from the language and communication apps the iPad offers! It will also allow us to use the iPad without interrupting other classes. Thanks for your help!!
