My Students

I am currently working with high school students to build sustainable girls' and boys' varsity volleyball teams. The boys and girls I am currently working with are energetic, dedicated and willing/eager to learn. The students I work with come from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. They enjoy learning new volleyball skills, techniques, and strategies. They are athletes who take the time to help fellow players with their technique, court positioning, and strategies. The boys and girls have created a safe space where all players feel empowered and valued.

My Project

The knee pads will properly protect the knees of the volleyball players when they dive for balls during practice and volleyball competitions. They will also provide proper stress support for their knees and reduce knee and ankle related volleyball injuries.

Last season, the our volleyball team had difficulties with their defensive blocking technique and strategies.

The use of a tandem bungee blocker will enable players to learn and practice proper defensive blocking and offensive hitting techniques.
