My students need Astrobrights colored cardstock for engaging learning stations. Having a variety of colors will help me organize their materials, differentiate their games, and make it easily accessible to them while we are promoting independence!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Only a teacher can imagine the energy that radiates from my kindergarten classroom! My students are from Chester, PA a low-income, subsidized housing neighborhood. Our students are offered a free lunch, some students know this lunch to be their only healthy meal they will receive on any given day. They are AMAZING! Many of my students come to school extremely underprepared, not knowing skills like holding a pencil, or copying their name. Other students have experienced sad, violent events in their five little years of life that I couldn't imagine witnessing in my 30 years. Our school is a safe place where they have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. These young scholars need a lot of attention and a lot of engagement!
My Project
Teaching young learners is both challenging and rewarding. The Astrobright cardstock will be used for printing materials in my class to make learning stations and work centers. These materials will be shared among Kindergarten and First grade teams, reaching over 1000 students!
By donating to this project you will be helping many teachers organize their classroom resources and differentiate learning stations.
It is fun to learn with color! The brightly colored paper is a classroom favorite and helps students stay engaged and organized.
Our young scholars are learning so much more than the curriculum content. We teachers are creating a world that they can learn to be independent and feel successful!
