Teacher Professional Development: I need help attending the National Differentiated Instructional Conference, the book bundle, an hotel costs. <profdevpilot>
If I am able to attend the I Teach 1st National Conference, I will be able to learn from some the country's most respected educational leaders--seasoned classroom teachers, renowned speakers, and award-winning authors.
I am in the middle of my second year of teaching.
I started teaching last year as soon as my children were all enrolled in school, so I consider myself a "late bloomer." In fact I initially didn't get my degree in teaching, but as I volunteered in my children's classrooms, I realized how much I loved being there and how much I loved working with children.
My Project
This conference provides first grade teachers with the precise tools that I need to foster student independence, recognize and identify gaps in learning, and build upon the components of literacy and numeracy students attained in Kindergarten. There will be a focus on targeted content, interactivity, classroom management, and incorporating FUN into learning.
As a new teacher I am realizing that I need more tools in my belt!
This year I have had children of all abilities, and some with disabilities, that I am realizing I need help in fostering their education and independence. I am still in the process of learning, although I imagine I will always be learning. This conference will help provide me with the tools that can help all of us be the best we can be.
