This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to learn! They enjoy working with one another and helping one another achieve success. They spend much of their time reading to one another and debating the opinions of others. I look forward to using these supplies to further engage their minds.

My Project

Students will be learning to analyze literature through a novel. This will give students a deeper and richer experience with content that will enable them to develop opinions as they debate the motives behind the characters’ experiences and actions. The characters experience difficult life changing events that some children may have never experienced. This novel will provide students the chance to experience and empathize with those who struggle more than they do, while also allowing others to identify with characters and ensuring them that they are not alone in their struggle.
