Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come to school each day eager to see what new doors we will open next. One of their favorite ways to learn is through interactive technology, but there are only two computers in our classroom. I teach at a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free lunches.

My eight students are eager to overcome their learning challenges and forge ahead to become the leaders of tomorrow.

They have the potential for any future they can imagine, and they are ready to seize it!

My Project

My students need Chromebooks to access the growing demand for technology in education.

Giving low-income students access to technology is an investment in their future.

Rather than only having access to technology once per week in a busy, crowded computer lab, students can utilize technology daily in their own classroom. For students with special needs, this small-group environment is critical to learning success.

The two Chromebooks I am requesting, along with our two classroom computers, will give my students 2:1 shared technology access. Our long-term goal is to obtain 1:1 access for all students. Your donation can help make this dream a reality!
