"Teamwork makes the dream work" is our slogan for this year. We are three dedicated, enthusiastic, loving fourth grade teachers who want to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our community of learners.
Our fourth graders are an incredible group of kids who strive to improve every day, pursue excellence, and engage and set goals in their own learning to be their absolute best.
We have a highly impacted group of kids who face difficult challenges outside of school. Some of our families cannot afford to pay for field trips and new experiences. Our mission is to provide a once-in-a-lifetime for all of our students, where they can make real-life connections to their learning throughout this year.
My Project
Adventure, inquiry, engagement, and exploration are expected on this field trip of a lifetime! Our fourth graders are invited to stay the night at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The museum will have workshops, based on Common Core Science standards and Colorado Social Studies standards, before students travel through time in the exhibits of the museum.
Students will explore diverse exhibits, attend engaging workshops, experience an IMAX movie, and adventure through the Denver Zoo.
They will make connections and apply their new knowledge of science and social studies through the different events on this trip.
They will learn about animal adaptations, the human body, force and motion, electricity, fossils, and the history of Colorado throughout our stay at the museum.
