My students live in the mountains between Denver and Fairplay. There is a lot of natural life and activities to do, but they don't have the luxuries of the cities at their fingertips.
Our school is located in Bailey, Colorado, was founded in 1957 and has since been modified.
We are eager to get students involved in sports and clubs. Students are proud to say they are part of the school teams. Students thrive with hands-on learning and community participation.
My Project
At the beginning of the school year we had ducks and chickens that we used for academic purposes. Now, they need a pond!
Ducks need a pond, these ducks don't fly so they need a pond to stay safe during the day.
Right now we are filling a sled with water and letting them play in that but they need a pond especially as they are getting bigger. I'm asking for a pond fabric, pond liner and waterfall foam.
Ducks need to be able to splash in water, they have an oil gland at the base of their tail that is activated as they splash water over their backs.
