Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kids are full of curiosity, feelings, and energy. We are quickly developing a family like community where we show interest in all of the members in our group. We have a brand new preschool program with busy hands, and bodies that are ready to be engaged in learning through play, exploration, creativity, routine, peer interaction and plenty of dialogue. We focus on language and cognitive development, creativity, explorations and hands on projects (no worksheets whatsoever). We enjoy singing, dancing, painting and pretend play.
My Project
Dramatic play accessories and furniture will give students a chance to dream, to be creative, and to plan out roles that they would like to assume. While engaging in dramatic play students are creating scenarios, using language and assuming roles within a group. Students will be problem solving and applying theme related vocabulary as they pretend that they are professionals, family members, animals and much more. Dramatic play accessories will help students to develop turn taking and negotiation skills all while having fun and engaging in play. Students will also develop social and emotional awareness as they learn to engage in collaborative play with their peers.
