Students in my school are able to apply their developing knowledge of mathematics and science using technology. We use hands-on materials and learning through experiences and challenges.
Over 95 percent qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, but students still respond to our enthusiastic, caring teachers and staff.
Students are expected to work hard and maintain a consistent effort. They are highly motivated and enjoy challenging themselves. They work well in collaboration with their peers and are always creative in their solutions.
My Project
My students would benefit from the technology that already exists in my STEM classroom. Adding the drawing tablet and artist software to the animation studio and claymation that we already have would allow the students to immerse themselves in the world of digital artistry and storytelling. Through the animation process the students will be able to see the technology used to transform their drawings into on screen motion and animations. The students will be able to use their artistic abilities and imagination to create digital stories based around their drawings. This will combine a love of art and technology and open doors to a wide world of innovation.
