Our Cozy Corner

My students need 10 desks to create a comfortable environment in order to successfully learn the materials presented to them.

My Students

Currently my classroom is known as the cozy corner. I have created a classroom that consists of soft lighting, easy listening music, and a bulletin board that displays us as a team. The only thing that is missing from completing the cozy corner is some new furniture.

My students attend a public school where they are a part of a resource special education class during their school day.

They are in primary and intermediate grades. My students take pride of their classroom space and think of it as their home away from home.

My Project

My students need to have a feeling of ownership. If each student has their own desk they can feel that each member of our team has their own "home" to learn. The new desk each student will get can create a sense of responsibility to take care of their "home". The team will be able to learn lessons in desks that are comfortable and appropriate for them. The desks will be the finishing touches to the cozy classroom.

This project is so important to me because I want to give my students the best learning environment possible.

I want them to walk into the room and not feel like it is MY classroom but OUR classroom.
