it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello! I am a Special Education teacher in Paterson NJ and I love how determined and loving my students are! My students range from Kinder to 3rd grade and they each have a variety of needs. This year I will be mostly working with 2nd graders who are so funny and kind to one another!!
2nd grade is an important year for students, it's the grade where everything switches from learning to read, to reading to learn.
It's a time where gaps in reading can make it challenging for students to feel successful in school.
My students have so much love, joy, and potential and I am eager to watch them learn and grow in such a loving school.
My Project
If my project is fully funded I will be able to implement multisensory lessons that will engage and support students at their specific level. This will help improve achievement gaps in all subject areas. In addition, this will support student learning, improve and inspire more readers and aide our goal and improving reading levels and comprehension. I will be able to help my students who have dyslexia by giving them new ways to access language in a hands-on way. This project will also benefit students in their general education classroom by providing them with the same tools in both rooms.
