Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a school in Florida that took a direct hit by Hurricane Irma. We are a STEM-based charter school with 74% free or reduced-price lunches. The families we serve really want what is best for their kids and trust me as their teacher to help make those decisions. The students in my classroom are very loving and caring individuals.

My students are passionate, eccentric, beautiful, intelligent, and all-around amazing. When you look into their eyes, you know that they are eager to consume knowledge. These students appreciate each and every day that they spend in the classroom because they know that they are going to use their minds in the most creative and innovative ways possible.
My Project
Our class needs 2 Dry Erase Magnetic Whiteboards to complete basic tasks, our current board took a hit from the hurricane.
We can use the board in many ways in the classroom, not just for writing up new vocabulary.
We will use our boards for giving instructions, reinforcing oral instructions. For example, just writing up the page number and the exercise on the board in a large class saves a lot of repetition! When doing group work or project work use the board to organise your class - write up a list of who is doing what in each group.
We will also be able to view educational lessons on the board. We are hoping we can get our project funded and have the essentials for a great learning space.
