I have the privilege of teaching young learners who are naturally curious about the world. Their innate curiosity and eagerness to ask questions help me create natural experiences to shape a love for learning that will grow with them throughout their education.
The kiddos that enter my classroom each day may be little, but they can do BIG things!
Every year, I see 5 and 6-year-olds prove that they are capable of leading their own learning through play, exploration, guided instruction, and cooperative learning. I feel it is my responsibility to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment to simply help pave their way!
I would like to add this rug to the classroom environment I work so hard to build every day. I want my students to feel the warmth and comfort when they walk into my classroom each day, like a second home for them. A rug creates a safe, comfortable place for my students and me to extend our learning onto the floor.
This rug will be a place for community, sharing, and connecting.
We will use it multiple times throughout the day for community sharing, reading together, and learning more about the world and each other. I love that it is big enough to hold all my students so that everyone knows there is a place for them in my classroom.
