My Project
My students are gifted learners who complete multiple 8-day, self-directed Independent Projects in my classroom. For these projects, they can choose from projects having to deal with art, technology, construction, and language. As we discussed new ideas for projects, the Cozmo robot, a tablet to control it, a crystal 3D puzzle, and an Elegoo Smart Car Robotic Kit are what they researched and requested to practice coding, robotic control, logical reasoning, and electrical construction/engineering as new Independent Projects.
I want to give my students my students the opportunity to interact with a variety of technological tools to help them build a strong technology skill set that can be applied in a number of career paths.
These Independent Projects allow for individual interests and abilities while at the same time helping students determine if the type of work required would actually fit their personality, abilities, and interests. The Cozmo robot and the Elegoo Smart Car Robotic kit would allow students to explore the Industrial Engineering and Technology Career Path in a new way.
