My Students

"You can use Logic to get from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." -Albert Einstein I love this quote and try to allow students to live by this in my room. A child's imagination is such a beautiful gift and often times in school it's silenced because of time constraints, assessments or rigidness.

I am a teacher for the Talented and Gifted program.

I see students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. I see each grade level of students once a week. My students are very motivated to learn and are very inquisitive. One thing I love about them is their passion to learn more than is expected and that they love to share their knowledge with others. Their creativity amazes me and it's such a joy to see the way they view the world and what they take away from each unit.

My Project

Last year, my amazing parents and community helped fund a flexible seating classroom. My students love it and responded so well! This year, I am continuing with the redesign and hoping to add a few more things. They would greatly benefit from a new brightly colored rug, a few more wobble stools and 2 more kneeling stools.

They have been more engaged in class and love having the option of different seats.

It makes me so happy to see them so excited to come to class and pick their favorite seat. There are not a lot of choices they get to make at school, so I'm glad I can provide them with a comfortable classroom setting with choices.
