My Students

We are a starter team, many of whom have never cheered before! We are trying to look united and professional, on a budget. By wearing shorts for basketball season the girls feel different than the girls that have just finished cheering for football season. It is a long season and we need an incentive.

Our school is diverse and the team started with only 3 girls on it only a few short years ago.

Now we allow up to 15 girls and average about 9, so the program is building up. We hope that new incentives like shorts will attract more! My girls are loud and strong young adults who are currently building up their confidence and networking skills. New merchandise allows them to cheer at games and events with pride and confidence.

My Project

The girls will wear these shorts at basketball games instead of theiruniform skirts. This will preserve the professional uniform skirt and give the team a whole new look. It is very cold during the winter season and the shorts can easily fit under the warm up pants.

This will improve the girls self-esteem and confidence for the fortitude they must possess to be leaders in their school!

Hopefully it will also generate new members! Our numbers have slowly improved over the years.
