Help me give my students a camping themed room transformation including stem activities that fit with our theme like tents, flashlights, butterflies, and amphibians.
I have very diverse learning groups this year. I have some students who are reading and working at a first grade level and some that are working at a sixth grade level. With such a huge spread in abilities, it is imperative that small group instruction be a possibility. In order for that to happen I have to have highly engaging activities to hold everyone's interests. Help me make that possible.
They all deserve an incredible learning experience no matter where they are in their learning journey!
My Project
To increase student involvement, I would like to do a camping themed room transformation. Instead of using desks, I would like to set up the tents from the materials requested. Students would then complete their learning activities based around our camping theme.
We will be hatching butterflies, observing amphibians and graphing our data.
We will be writing ghost stories and sharing them around our "campfire". Students will be fishing for synonyms and antonyms then they will be reading by flashlight. The materials requested are all necessary to complete the learning activities.
