Our Brains Aren't the Only Thing Growing in Our Room!

Help me give my students an AeroGarden for our classroom to study plant growth and eat healthy foods!

My Project

Having an AeroGarden in our classroom will provide students with many learning opportunities. We will use measurement and data analysis to keep track of plant growth, study how plants grow and thrive in their ideal environment and incorporate fractions when we make salsa with our harvested crops!

A vegetable and herb AeroGarden will ignite curiosity about where healthy food comes from and how students and families can grow gardens at home!

Seeing the excitement on a child's face when their first tomato flowers is magical! We'll be able to transplant our vegetables and herbs from our AeroGarden to our school garden beds for all students and community members to enjoy. Students will learn Indiana Science Standards by conducting experiments about the basic needs of plants as well as studying the internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth and development. We hope that you consider growing our minds by donating to our growing project!
