My students need book shelves so we have a organized place to store our books.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students come to school everyday ready to learn. They are excited, hopeful, and resilient. Our school was completely damaged due to Hurricane Harvey. We lost our school, but majority of my students also lost their homes. We have been displaced since August. We have already moved three times this year and are currently having class in portable buildings.
Our school community is small but loaded with determination and pride.
I teach 41 students a day. I teach reading, writing and social studies. We are a public school in a low economic community. My students are some of the most strongest, tenacious and flexible kids I have ever seen. The storm may have taken their normalcy, homes and school but it didn't take pride and determination.
Since Hurricane Harvey we lost all of our book shelves. This sturdy shelf would house all of our chapter books that we enjoy reading during daily 5. Right now we have to dig through totes to find our books. A shelf will display them nice and neatly so we can easily find the book we are wanting to start reading. This shelf will allow us to organize the books by authors, series and genre. This shelf will also let us keep better care of our books as we are still trying to build our classroom library.
