I teach middle and high school band in a high-needs community. The school district is very small and in an urban setting. Our students all receive free lunch and breakfast. Even though the school and community have financial difficulties, my students come to school eager and ready to learn. The financial hardships do not interfere with their desire to learn and be the best they can be.
I am very fortunate to teach in a district where the students want to excel and work very hard.
Our marching band was fortunate to get brand new uniforms last year. We are trying to complete the new uniform look with dry fit shirts to wear under our uniform. The band members take their uniform jackets off when the weather is warm. The band should still have a uniform look without the jackets.
The dry fit shirts will keep them cool and keep the uniform look.
The dry fit material will keep the band cool in the warm weather. The kelly green color will complete the uniform look when the band removes their uniform jacket. These dry fit shirts will complete the new look of our band.
