Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I am coteaching with my friend Jennifer Pollard. Together we are working with 45 4th graders. Our demographic of students include ESE and ESOL students who need lots of hands on and individualized learning! Students rotate through centers where they receive one on one attention, technology lessons, hands on, as well as art infused lessons. We try to appeal to everyone's learning style as well as individual learning goals. We look forward to working with this group of students this year!
My Project
This year Jenn and myself are collectively teaching 45 4th grade students ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. These students come from a variety of backgrounds and include low income families, students with disabilities, as well as ESOL students. We need your help to give students the supplies that they need to succeed!
As you see students back to school shopping think of those who are nervous about starting their school year with little to no supplies.
We appreciate all of your generous contributions to both of our classrooms! Lets get our learn on! Crayons, Binders, Markers, etc will be used in students day to day learning. Chart paper and laminating sheets will be used for class lessons. Students coming from low-income households struggle to bring in a snack daily. Please help us give students all the tools they need to succeed!
