My Project

If there is anything that is more suitable than LEGO blocks for a makerspace class, I don't know what it is. Building is the cornerstone of the makerspace classroom. Students in my class build every day.

My students love building with LEGO blocks.

LEGO blocks allow students to be creative and build what is in their imagination. LEGO kits teach students to pay close attention to details and directions.

My students are going to work together to build a LEGO Eiffel Tower. They will have to cooperate with each other and follow directions closely to make this structure from over 10,000 pieces. They will learn about persistence and the joy in accomplishment. LEGO makes abstract STEM concepts tangible.
