Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in our school come from the highest of poverty levels. Many of our students are living with relatives and transient or in foster care. Our school is located in a small, close nit community which is deeply rooted in family and community pride. Sadly, this community is also in a high crime area and our students see and deal with the results of this. Our school is a beacon of hope and safety that equips students to have the tools necessary for success regardless of their circumstances.

My Project

Osmo's groundbreaking system fosters social intelligence and creative thinking by opening up the iPad and iPhone to the endless possibilities of physical play. The Osmo system is a unique gaming accessory that will change the way our students play. It is crafted with reflective artificial intelligence, a groundbreaking technology that bridges the real and digital realms. This is something exciting and new that can break barriers student learning and achievement. Many of our students don't get these types of creative and new teaching experiences at home, so this will be an exciting and challenging experience for our students. One that will hopefully open new doors to learning and achievement!
