My Students

My students come from a low socioeconomic background in a rural setting. Many of these students receive free or reduced cost lunch and some even worry about where dinner will come from. My students strive to be the best they can be despite the circumstances from which they come from. With the impact and influence of technology in today's world, our students must become not only learners of reading and writing but also of coding and seamlessly integrating technology with everyday life.

Students are natural born learners and crave to understand and thrive in their environments.

In order to help my students create a strong foundation, it is my goal to give them every opportunity to grow beyond the 4 walls of my classroom and beyond their small community to become the world leaders that I know they are capable of becoming.

My Project

My students have access to iPads in our classroom. I am trying to expand their learning potential by introducing the Osmo learning platform.

My students are growing up in an age of technology being a large part of our lives.

I'd like to expand their world beyond basic apps and use of a camera to open their learning by blending technology and hands-on learning.

Osmo is a platform that is ever growing. It will teach my children to manipulate the program and then will expand into other applications like coding! I would like to expand my student's world of technology beyond gaming apps to show them the amazing world of technology and its many uses beyond the basic games.
