My Students

I am a first grade teacher to 18 hard working students. Every single one of them make me want to come to work everyday so that I am able to be a part of their success. I am the Special Education Inclusion teacher on my team. So I have Special Education students in my classroom, included with my general education students.

Each and every one of my students comes to school ready to learn every day.

Even though they are all working at varying academic levels, they all work hard every day to reach their goals. Being able to be the teacher to these amazing students makes my life complete.

My Project

The Osmo genius kit includes 3 different types of activities that they students are able to work with, shapes, numbers, and letters. I have started to use my personal one during our Literacy and Math Station times. During Literacy, students are working with words and filling in missing sounds in words, which is something that most of my students are struggling with. During Math, they have started working to create combinations of numbers. They are so engaged during both of these work times. I enjoy getting to watch them working so diligently to complete each task on the iPads. With Technology becoming a huge part of everyday life, the Osmo will give my students a new and innovative way to practice skills we are already working on!
