My Students

Within my classroom we have a very diverse population. About 60% receive free or reduced-priced meals, we are one of the highest rate of unemployment and drug use in the state, and a very mobile population due to the Iowa State Penitentiary.

When they started school in August, several could not recognize their name or know how to hold a book while others are already reading and writing.

They are ALL excited about learning! They become so proud of themselves when they master a new skill.

My Project

We have received our Osmos and have been learning lots, but we are in need of a few more games to help our learning.

The Osmo Awbie game will help us to learn problem solving, collaboration, and coding.

Students have been using Osmos to learn math and reading skills and this is one more opportunity to use a resource we already have and enjoy!

The students and I have been so appreciative of the support we have received this year to further our technology and teamwork abilities. The collaboration that goes on is amazing to watch.
