My classroom is full of students who are excited to come to school every day. They have a thirst to learn and become their personal best! My students are eager to participate in any opportunity that comes their way, and to find new and innovative ways to learn.
Our community wanted one large school in its city so that there would be no dividing lines separating demographics and all students could be offered the same opportunities.
This provides a very diverse learning community. This school is located in a smaller town in Kansas and it is important to provide technology rich opportunities for students living in small towns. I want my students to feel prepared and equipped as they move with their education.
My Project
An Osmo Genius Kit will inspire my students to think critically and will spark creativity. Osmo games promote embodied learning with both a physical and digital experience. Students will learn how to make quick calculations, the skill of making change to “customers” and coding, all important skills students will need in everyday life.
Students flourish when given opportunities that both excite and challenge them.
The Osmo kit will accomplish this! In a technology driven world, the Osmo kit which uses an iPad will help motivate students to learn and gain technology literacy which will promote confidence. In addition the Osmo kit promotes problem solving, spelling and math skills.
