My students are my joy! They make me excited to teach every day! I am always looking for ways to accommodate my students so their needs are being met. I strive to give my students as much support as possible to ensure they reach their full potential.
My goal is to provide my students with the tools they need to be college and career ready!
I find we learn best when we have various tools and resources to choose from. My students look forward to using different resources in the classroom that fit their particular learning style, or need, on a daily basis.
My Project
My students love using technology in the classroom to help them learn! We have been using the Osmo device during math workshop to practice our math facts (addition and multiplication). Osmo is a class favorite among my students. They gravitate to this piece of equipment to help them with their math learning.
Math + Technology = FUN!!
I believe my students would enjoy the Osmo Pizza Co. game to help them learn fractions and money, two important 3rd grade skills. Fractions are a diffciult skill for students. This game would support my students learning and also motivate them to give their best effort.
Along with the Osmo game, my students are in need of headphones to support their learning with technology. Many of the programs we use require the use of sound. My class would benefit greatly from a class-set of headphones. The headphones would benefit students who need materials read aloud as well as allow students to work independently on skills using a variety of technological resources.
