My Kindergarten students are active, social learners. They love to learn and show up every day ready to conquer kindergarten expectations. They are learning to read, write, do math, and still want the chance to play like the young children they are. I try to balance our work and playtime as much as possible.
I teach in a Title I school with a 43% poverty rate.
My students live in a rural community. We are in a pre-K through second-grade building. There are four sections of each grade level, with 20 students in each room. These energetic students master skills that adults didn't have to master until first or second grade. We are a full-day program.
The Osmo cases in this project would be used to help hold our Osmo kits. It will make it easier to get them in and out quickly. This will save us time and help us get started right away. The Osmo Genius Words Kits will be used to replace our current words kits. The new ones have uppercase and lowercase letters. When our first Osmos were purchased, they only came with uppercase letters. Having the lowercase will help us play matching games and games that only can be played if we have the lowercase letters.
Your help in getting these things for our classroom will help us make learning fun!
Children learn better when playing and Osmos help us have fun wile doing educational things.
