Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten students are high-energy, creative, intuitive, smart, and all around amazing. They love to explore and learn new things. I teach at a Title 1 school and resources are limited. Every day we focus on learning and doing our very best to be good students and kind to one another. I want to provide the best learning experience possible for every student in my classroom. Twenty first century kids love technology and I know my students will benefit from having the Osmo Genius Learning Kit in our classroom.
I teach at a title one school with low socioeconomic status that continues to increase each year.
Our school has a very high homeless population which limits our students having access to any form of technology.
We have a large population of English language learners. The students at my school are not always motivated to learn. They need lots of hands on activities to keep them engaged.
My Project
The Osmo Genius Kits will allow my students to practice both reading and math skills.
My classroom is home to several English Language Learners (ELL), and they especially will benefit from the use of tangible, hands-on technology.
The kits will also provide them with the skills they need to become twenty-first-century learners. My students will learn academic skills that can be applied to the real world. The learning games will provide my students with reading and math practice opportunities and direct feedback.
The math and literacy activities from Lakeshore will provide my very-active, five and six-year-old students with interactive, hands-on opportunities to practice and build their math and reading skills.
I am so excited to see my students' excitement and engagement increase as they learn using their new technology tool.
