My Students

I am the library teacher in a high-needs urban district. Many of my students come from single-parent homes and some are refugees from other countries.

Regardless of their home circumstances, my students love to come to school and they are always excited about learning!

Their enthusiasm and motivation to learn make me want to be a better teacher and to make learning fun for them.

Unfortunately, most of my students have very limited access to any form of enrichment activities. Whenever I can, I try to expose them to new things and broaden their horizons.

My Project

Students are constantly exposed to different forms of technology at home and at school. Unfortunately, not much of the technology they use every day is very educational. I want my students to have technology options that will improve their logic and problem solving skills.

OSMO Genius is an award winning system that promotes logic and problem solving skills in a fun way for students.

Students can work together on tangrams, number, and word problems that will not only help them academically, but will also improve their social skills. Both of these outcomes will help to make my students more college and career ready!
