My students need these tools because they allows students to practice their spelling, reading and writing skills while having fun. I use this as for small groups and daily center and the students are engaged.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am thankful to be the teacher of three groups of twenty-three enthusiastic, open-minded and with engaged in learning second graders.
My school is located in Aldine ISD and some families possessions were recently damaged due to Hurricane Harvey, but they are happy to be at school everyday for learning and discovering new things.
This year is the step before the STAAR test, so they have the opportunity to increase their knowledge about several topics in the best possible way.
That is why I am looking for funds to get tools for my classroom that engage the students in the learning process and increase their opportunities for Reading & Writing , also making connections with other different subjects.
I can mention the Lathin Phrase Mens sana in corpore sano, to explain that my students can grow in knowledge, in reading and writing and also they can develop healthy ways to increase their body gestures and care.

My Project
My students could draw basic pictures to enhance their writing and reading abilities. They would use technology in a meaningful way and becoming independent and secure of their knowledge.
Students will use the Materials everyday to help individualize learning, be creative and have fun!
Students today use technology in many aspects of their life and by integrating it into our learning, they are able to use what they know to learn new skills.
That is why I am requesting the Osmo Genius Kit. It promotes creativity, communication and teamwork through the use of an ipad during ELA and Math station time. The Genius Kit encourages problem solving using tangrams that are shown on a projected display. The Genius Kit will also reinforce spacial reasoning skills. I am also requesting colored paper for station displays and an Apple charging cord to ensure our classroom ipad is charged and ready to use daily.
Donations for this project will give students the opportunity to use the IPad in a more meaningful way. Your support in making this project a reality would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
