Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I strive to help them become the best version of themselves, to persevere, to change their mindset, to believe in themselves, and to know that their education is so important.
From the moment they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. It is my goal to inspire the earliest learners to continue on the path of academic excellence through a creative and positive way.
My Project
We love technology in kindergarten! We have a daily opportunity to put down the pencils and crayons and engage in learning in a new way. With Osmo, my kindergartner's will get to experience a groundbreaking iPad system that helps children develop social, Math, and Reading skills through creative thinking and physical play. My students will use Osmo as a workstation during Math and Reader's workshop. They will play word recognition games, geometry games, and complete creative drawing activities.
Technology is the one "language" that all of my students understand.By adding the Osmo Gaming System to our classroom, my students will be able to work with other students to complete word work activities and math activities that will help build a universal foundation for future learning for years to come.
